Are you experienced in either the Customer Service, Retail, Hair, Beauty, Nail or Sports Activity sector with the ambition to teach or deliver training in a college or training environment or to offer accredited courses within your salon or workplace? To be able to do this effectively you will need to have the following qualification: The VTCT Level 3 Award in Education & Training is a vocationally recognised qualification focused towards those pursuing a teaching career in further education. The award provides a sound introduction to teaching/training and is suitable for those who are new to or wish to start teaching or training, or experienced practitioners who would like to secure professionally recognised teaching/training qualification This qualification is ideal for those interested in pursuing a teaching career in further education or for those who have recently started teaching and will enable the learner to enter teaching employment and progress on to a broader teaching qualification. There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. Through initial assessment, we will ensure that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification. This qualification has been specifically designed for the 19+ age groups and is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the requisite skills and knowledge required to fulfil a teaching role. This course covers preparation, planning and basic course design. You will also gain teaching delivery skills and participate in a micro teach session. Evaluation skills and techniques also form part of the course content. Learners can progress from the VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) directly into a teaching or facilitating role in the further education sector. On completion of this qualification you may choose to undertake further study; qualifications you could progress to include – VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (QCF)
Once you have booked and paid for the course you will be allocated an assessor and sent a link where you can download all the training resources and assignments to complete in your own time through private study, with access to tutor support through phone and email. This will include preparing for your micro teach, which will be conducted in the training centre once you have completed and uploaded your assignments for your tutor to mark. You will then be given a date to attend the training centre for 1 day between 10:00am to 3:00pm to deliver your own micro teaching session as well as providing feedback to other learners on this course (this is part of the criteria).
